A Case of Glossopharyngeal Schwannoma Protruding to the Larynx: A Case Report

Schwannoma is benign tumor that can occur in any part of the nerve contains a Schwann cell. It rare head and neck region characterized by common postoperative neurologic symptoms. We experienced cervical schwannoma 22-year-old young man. Except for foreign body sensation mass anterior region, there were no other complaints. A retropharyngeal was most suspected considering computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, laryngoscopy fine needle aspiration. Surgical treatment performed, origin diagnosed as tonsillar branch glossopharyngeal nerve. Histopathological examination confirmed presence with typical characteristics. After surgery, patient recovered without side effects. report this case review literature.
